High fire danger and wind today – 10/21/19

TODAY: Sunshine is in the forecast this afternoon along with a few scattered clouds. Winds won’t be as strong as yesterday but gusts will likely reach the 35 mph range today. This will increase the fire danger between Pueblo and Las Animas County. Red Flag Warnings are in place there from noon until 7pm tonight. A stray flurry or sprinkle is possible over Teller County and the Eastern Plains, otherwise, we stay dry.

TONIGHT: Calm winds with clear to partly cloudy skies. Lows cool to the 20s tonight.

EXTENDED: Tuesday looks a little warmer with continued dry sunshine. By Wednesday and Thursday, rain and snow look to move into Southern Colorado and the I-25 Corridor. Specifics still have yet to be determined, but plan for a big drop in temps and wind through Thursday. We’ll keep you posted!
