Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office arrests two teens for sexual exploitation of a child

PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) announced that they arrested two teens on felony warrants for sexual exploitation of a child.

PCSO says that Alonzo Gutierrez, 18, and a 17-year-old female were arrested following a months-long investigation into the taking and sharing of sexually explicit photos of another juvenile female.

According to PCSO, Gutierrez was arrested on March 22 for sexual exploitation of a child and sexual assault on a child. He was booked into the Pueblo County Jail.

PCSO says that the 17-year-old female was arrested Monday for sexual exploitation of a child and criminal solicitation to sexual assault on a child. She has been booked into the Pueblo Youth Center.

According to Gutierrez's arrest records, the two teens met online and allegedly orchestrated the abuse of a minor.

Court documents show deputies were first alerted to the situation by administrators at Pueblo West High School. A staff member told deputies she received an alarming email from the 17-year-old girl saying she was in an "extremely toxic situation" with Gutierrez.

When deputies interviewed the 17-year-old they learned she and Gutierrez started talking in October on a social media app called "Yubo."

She told deputies they met up in the parking lot of a Pueblo movie theater for sex and started sending sexually explicit messages after that.

The court documents show deputies searched the 17-year-old's phone and discovered troubling messages, videos and pictures.

Within the messages, Gutierrez and the 17-year-old have a conversation about Gutierrez sexually abusing someone who was sleeping in a home where he was.

During the conversation, it appears that Gutierrez decided to act on the abuse.

Court records show Gutierrez sent a photo of the victim and the 17-year-old tells him he should touch the victim.

The two keep texting as Gutierrez sends photos of the alleged sexual assault, and the 17-year-old appears to encourage him to continue the abuse.

Court records show the 17-year-old said in an interview she had always wanted to be a district attorney and was trying to gather information on Gutierrez. She told deputies that's why she kept texting him.

In a separate interview chronicled in the documents, Gutierrez told deputies he abused the minor because the 17-year-old wanted him to do it.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says Gutierrez has bonded out of jail.

It's unclear if the 17-year-old is still in custody.
