Colorado offering free admission to state parks Monday

Sure, it’s a belated birthday gift, but Colorado Parks & Wildlife wants you to enjoy one of the many state parks for free Monday to celebrate Colorado Day.

Colorado Day is Aug. 1, but CPW is waiving all entrance fees Monday in honor of it. Fishing and camping will still require valid permits and licenses.

There are 41 larger state parks and 300 state wildlife areas.
