08/13/19 Forecast Discussion
Tonight: Isolated showers possible across the I-25 corridor and into the higher elevations. The overall severity of the storms this evening will be heavy rainfall. The storms are moving very slowly, so they do have the potential to drop significant amounts of rain in certain areas, especially the burn scars in the Sangre and Wet mountains. The rain showers will clear out overnight and turn partly cloudy in Colorado Springs with a low temperature of 59 degrees.
Sunday: Similar setup as today. Morning sunshine helping us warm up quickly, into the high 80’s by early afternoon. Increasing cloud coverage through the day with showers and thunderstorms developing over the higher elevations after 1 PM. The isolated showers will struggle to reach I-25, but it’s possible to see an isolated shower by mid-afternoon in El Paso and Pueblo Counties.
