Wife saves husband after volcano fall on honeymoon
A newlywed wife climbed into a volcano, grabbed her husband and dragged him out while they were on their honeymoon.
The BBC reports, Clay Chastain fractured his skull while hiking on the Caribbean Island of St. Kitts. His wife, Acaimie, came to his rescue and carried him for two miles down a volcano.
The fall happened on July 18, while the two were on their honeymoon. After hiking to the top of Mt. Liamuiga, Chastain wanted to get a better view, so he climbed down into the volcano.
While in the volcano, Chastain heard what sounded like a boulder rolling down the hill. That’s when Acaimie heard his cry for help and went running down.
She found him lying on the ground with blood pouring from his head. Since there were no other hikers around and phone service was limited, they had to hike all the way to the base. A journey that took three hours.
Chastain then took a medical flight to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Chastain later wrote on Facebook thanking God that his injuries were not worse.
