Tonight: Partly cloudy skies with a few isolated showers possible across the I-25 corridor, nothing severe with the vast majority of us in SE Colorado staying dry. Light winds at 5-10mph, turning mostly clear overnight with a low temperature of 57 degrees in Colorado Springs.
Monday: Plentiful sunshine to start off the day with increasing cloud coverage by late morning. Temperatures into the high 80’s for Colorado Springs and mid 90’s for HWY 50. Showers and thunderstorms will start by the early afternoon across mountainous areas then transition to valley locations after 3pm. A few storms may be severe with strong wind gust and heavy rainfall.
Extended: Entering into a slight warming trend to start the workweek, reaching into the low 90’s for El Paso County by Tuesday with the potential for low 100’s in the eastern plains. Scattered afternoon showers are possible nearly every day this week.
