Mount Carmel hosting event to benefit the military community in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Mount Carmel Veterans Service Center is hosting a one-of-a-kind event today, Feb. 15, 2024. It’s an opportunity to support our local veterans meet new people and play games for fun prizes. It’s called the Cribbagepalooza. 

Cribbage is a card game that originated in the United Kingdom. The goal is to group cards in different combinations to gain points. There will be six games played during today’s tournament and the winner gets to take home a custom-built cribbage board handcrafted by a veteran artist.

The event will be held at Mt. Carmel at 530 Communication Circle. Doors open at 5 p.m. this evening with the tournament starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 online but will be sold at the door for $35. Veterans will get a discount on tickets for just $20. There will also be food, drinks, and a silent auction.
