U.S. soccer team beats England 2-1 in semifinals
The U.S. women’s soccer team beat England 2 – 1 in the Women’s World Cup semifinals match Tuesday.
Alex Morgan and Christen Press scored a goal each for the United States. Christen Press was the substitution for star forward Megan Rapinoe, who was benched after reporting a hamstring injury.
The U.S. team will go on to play in the finals on Sunday, July 7. Their opponent will be decided Wednesday in the Netherlands vs. Sweden match.
