Where to watch the Women’s World Cup in Colorado Springs
As the U.S. women’s national team continues to dominate in the Women’s World Cup, Americans around the globe are wondering where they can watch.
We’ve compiled a list of local watering holes in Colorado Springs that are airing the games to keep you feeling patriotic and hydrated.
The quarterfinals kicked off Thursday with Norway vs. England. The U.S. team will play France on Friday at 1 p.m. MST. Check here for the full game schedule.
Jack Quinn’s — Downtown
This Irish pub is an institution in downtown Colorado Springs. They’ve committed to airing all the U.S. women’s team matches, and have plans to air other matches as well if public interest arises. Space is first-come, first-served at a community-style table upstairs, so get there early for a prime spot.
The Playing Field — North Academy Boulevard
The Playing Field is spacious sports bar on Academy Boulevard North with pool tables, darts, and plenty of television screens. They’ll be airing all the Women’s World Cup matches, and will even be opening earlier than usual on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 to catch the 9 a.m. third place game and final match.
Cleats Bar & Grill — Rockrimmon and Barnes Rd.
Described by reviewers as a chill sports pub with good grub, both of their locations will be airing the Women’s World Cup games. However, they won’t be opening early on July 6 and July 7 for the final matches.
Phantom Canyon Brewery — Downtown
If sports bars aren’t your thing and you’re looking for something a bit calmer, you can request the game at the Phantom Canyon Brewery downtown. Their television sets have no sound to preserve the brewery atmosphere, and they won’t be open early for the tournament’s final weekend.
