Colorado Springs police officers injured while arresting suspect

Two officers were injured while attempting to arrest a man early Thursday morning in southeast Colorado Springs.

Eric Garland struck an officer in the face and another officer sustained a shoulder injury while they were trying to take Garland into custody.

Garland was eventually subdued and taken into custody for multiple charges including second-degree assault on a peace officer.
