Air Force Academy Commandant Removed
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY – The United States Air Force Academy has announced that Brig. Gen. Kristin Goodwin has been relieved of her duty.
In a statement to KRDO from the Air Force Academy, Goodwin has been removed as Commandant of Cadets effective immediately as a result of an ongoing investigation. The Academy did not provide any details pertaining to the nature of the investigation.
The Academy said that Col. Scott Campbell will take command of the Cadet Wing until further notice.
Goodwin was the first, openly gay, Commandant in the school’s history.
