The Colorado Avalanche close out the first half of the season with a five-one victory.

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Los Angeles Kings five to one on Friday night at Ball Arena. Nathan Mackinnon had a goal and an assist on Friday night. He has a point in every home game this season. Logan O'Connor scored two goals against the Kings.

The Avalanche have the second best record in the NHL heading into the NHL All-Star break.
