Police recover body from Pueblo Riverwalk
Police recovered the body of a suspected homeless man from the Pueblo Riverwalk Tuesday morning. Police are waiting to release the identity of the deceased individual.
According to the Pueblo County Coroner, they will not release the persons name until they get in contact with the person’s next of kin.
Police do not suspect foul play was involved.
Construction workers in the area made the call to authorities around 9 a.m.
KRDO was told that construction crews spotted a man in the canal. There is no word yet on how long the man was in the canal before he was found.
The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo decline to comment on this story.
