UPDATE: Missing 70-year-old man found safe

UPDATE: Police say Donald Otis was found safe.

The Colorado Springs Police Department asked for the public’s help in finding a 70-year-old man who suffers from dementia.

Donald Otis walked away from his residence in the 1400 block of E Buena Ventura St. Tuesday afternoon. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate him.

Otis is described as a white male, 5’11 tall, 185 lbs, he has thinning hair and was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket, jeans and baseball hat.

Otis likes to talk to people and is very social. He is able to carry a conversation, but will not know his address or how to return home.

He will not have a cell phone and does not know any phone numbers to call. If you locate him or have any information on his whereabouts call police at (719) 444-7000.
