Colorado Springs Fire Department releases cause of downtown fire, several businesses impacted

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) has determined the cause of a fire that occurred on Dec. 4, at 15 E Bijou in Downtown Colorado Springs.

CSFD says that the fire has been determined to be accidental and due to an electrical malfunction with a kitchen refrigerator.

Several businesses are still closed due to smoke damage sustained in the fire.
