More cool sunshine today – 11/6/18

TODAY: More mostly sunny skies are expected in Southern Colorado this Tuesday afternoon. Highs will be just a few degrees cooler than yesterday. Look for 40s and 50s over the lower terrain with 30s and 40s in the mountains. You’ll still notice a breeze at times, though it won’t be as strong as yesterday. Just grab a light jacket if you are heading to the polls today!

TONIGHT: Skies will be mostly clear again tonight with cold overnight lows. Mountain cities will be in the teens and 20s, with 20s and low 30s over our lower elevation cities.

EXTENDED: A winter weather system makes its way in for tomorrow. Right now, things aren’t looking very impressive. Low clouds should develop for the second half of Wednesday, which will likely promote some light upslope snow flurries and sprinkles in the evening. Winds become more northerly during the day on Thursday, which would shift any kind of light snow to the Palmer Divide. Downsloping winds would likely keep everyone in Springs and Pueblo relatively dry. Right now, accumulation looks very minor (if any at all) and would be contained to grassy areas. Stay tuned for any changes, but right now this looks like a low impact event.
