Colorado’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate makes final push for votes

KRDO NewsChannel 13 tagged along with Jared Polis, the state’s Democratic candidate for governor, as he made a final push for voters before Election Day.
On Monday, Polis spent much of his time in the Denver-area city of Lakewood. In the morning, he met and greeted voters who were coming in and out of a nearby ballot box location.

In the afternoon, he gathered with campaign volunteers to thank them for their help and encourage them to keep working hard before the polls close at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Polis plans to be in Pueblo and Colorado Springs on Tuesday. He’s traveling across the state with other Democratic candidates in a blue-colored bus.

Polis responded to a question about whether there are any voters left to sway with so many having already returned their ballots.

“We’ll keep trying to convince anyone who hasn’t voted,” he said. “Today, I convinced some undecided voters to choose me. So there still are votes to be had.”
