Illegal pot bust inside Pueblo Co. home worth $249,000

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office uncovered an illegal marijuana grow in Pueblo West on Thursday.

Deputies found 23 plants and 60 pounds of dried product inside the home on Ginger Ln., after receiving a tip about a possible illegal operation. They noticed a strong smell of marijuana as well as several large air conditioning units and unusual water drains.

The woman who lives at the home was out of state at the time of the bust. Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor suspects this is a black market operation.

No arrests have been made so far. The Pueblo County Regional Building Department condemned the home after determining unsafe alterations were made to it.
