Driver cited after hitting woman in south Colorado Springs

South Nevada Ave. was shut down for over an hour Friday afternoon when a 53-year-old woman was hit by a pickup truck.

Police say the driver failed to yield for the woman at the corner of Nevada and Las Vegas Street. (MAP)

The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver, who wasn’t identified, was cited for failure to yield and careless driving, according to police at the scene. No other details were given.
