A cooler Sunday – 6/30/18
TONIGHT: The severe weather threat is winding down as we go through tonight. Any kind of lingering storms will be contained east of El Paso County over the plains. Lows cool into the 50s and 60s tonight.
EXTENDED: Areas of clouds and a few sprinkles are possible to start the morning out tomorrow. Easterly winds will promote some more scattered clouds through the afternoon. An isolated shower or thunderstorm is possible over the higher terrain tomorrow afternoon, but rain won’t be widespread. Highs will be much cooler–we will only warm into the 80s in the lower elevations. Mountain cities and the high country will be in the 70s. Isolated shower and storm chances are possible through this week, with a warm up back into the 80s and 90s. Right now the 4th of July looks hot, with just the chance for an isolated shower or storm.
