Marty’s Sunday Morning Forecast – Less Wind! – 3/11/18

Today: Crisp this morning and slow to warm today, but we will have less wind! Expect some clouds at times, mainly over southern parts of our coverage area. High temperatures will reach the 40s to lower 50s for the plains today, mainly 30s & 40s over the mountains.

Tonight: Partly cloudy & cool with low temperatures in the teens and 20s for most areas.

Extended: The work week will start cooler with high temperatures mainly in the 40s to lower 50s for the plains and 30s over the mountains. There may be enough instability across the area on Monday for spotty showers to develop over and near the mountains, but again, we don’t expect much precipitation. Patchy low clouds may develop late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, and the air will remain fairly cool on Tuesday, but starting Wednesday we should warm noticeably. We look to remain warm through the end of the week with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s for the plains. We expect the wind to pick up again as we warm, and if so we may again have conditions favorable for the spread of wildfires over parts of the area.
