UCHealth to acquire Woodland Park hospital

UCHealth will soon acquire Pikes Peak Regional Hospital in Woodland Park.

The deal is expected to be complete in early April, according to the Gazette. UCHealth currently leases and operates Memorial Hospital Central and North in Colorado Springs.

Steward Health Care System LLC, the owner of Pikes Peak Regional, signed a purchase agreement on Thursday with UCHealth.

“Pikes Peak Regional Hospital provides essential services, close to home, for patients in Teller and Park Counties. We are excited to join UCHealth because, as part of this larger healthcare network, we will be able to provide our patients with a greater depth of services while focusing on our purpose – improving health throughout the Pikes Peak region,” Kim Monjesky, the hospital’s CEO, said.

Dan Weaver, a spokesman for UCHealth, said changes to the hospital’s operations will be looked at once the deal is complete.
