First Indian Food festival comes to Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- Get ready to indulge in a celebration of Indian food and culture at the first Colorado Springs Indian Food Festival!
Participants to the Festival will be able to taste the delicacies of India under one roof on Saturday, August 5.
It is being brought to Colorado Springs by Monika Celly, owner and Culinary Director of Polka Dots and Curry–an Indian culinary school that has hosted traditional Indian cooking classes since 2017.
The Indian Food Festival will have live talent, a diverse range of regional Indian cuisines, and a lineup of culinary experts and vendors who will provide a variety of delights for the taste buds.
Also at the Festival will be stands offering Mehndi, or temporary Henna tattoos, Bollywood Dance sessions every hour, an Indian photo booth, free blood pressure checks, and raffle prizes and quiz games!
The Indian Food festival will be located at the Academy International Elementary School located on 8550 Charity Drive from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
