Funeral arrangements announced for trooper who was hit by truck Friday
A funeral for Trooper Cody Donahue will be held in Englewood later this week.
Donahue, 34, was killed when he was hit by a US foods truck while he was investigating a crash on I-25 near Castle Rock on Black Friday.
Donahue’s funeral will be held at 11 a.m. this coming Friday at Denver First Church, 3800 E. Hampden Avenue, in Englewood.
The driver of the truck was identified by law enforcement as Noe Gamez-Ruiz, 41. He faces charges of careless driving resulting in death and failure to yield the right-of-way to a stationary emergency vehicle.
Donahue lived in Parker with his wife and two young children. He was an 11-year veteran of the Colorado State Patrol.
