Fans dress up for Colorado Cosmic Con
It’s not Halloween quite yet, but thousands of characters and costumes took over Colorado Springs for the Colorado Cosmic Con.
“You can cosplay as what you’ve always wanted to be,” said eight-year-old Anthony Sullivan, who loves Power Rangers.
“This makes his day, if we can be a part of that, we’ll never say no,” said event organizer, John Hernandez.
“Everyone gets to be someone they want to be and not be ridiculed for it. There’s no word of politics in here, it’s all about being fun. Nobody is going to mention Trump or Clinton,” said Hernandez.
Hernandez said about 2,000 people are expected to check out the event in Colorado Springs. A portion of all ticket proceeds go to local charities in southern Colorado.
