How does your experience make you qualified to represent the people?

I spent 30 years as a teacher, math specialist, and AP coordinator. One of the first things I learned in education is that when something isn’t working, saying it louder or repeating it more often doesn’t fix the problem. You must look at the system, identify what’s broken, and find a better way. That’s what I did in education, and it’s how I approach leadership. I worked with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to improve outcomes, and I was held accountable for results. As Pueblo County Republican Chair, I applied that same mindset to politics and helped deliver measurable results. I will bring that problem-solving approach to the legislature.

What are your top policy priorities?

My top priorities are affordability, water, education, and public safety. I want to reduce unnecessary regulations that drive up the cost of housing, energy, insurance, and food. I will protect our water rights, support reliable and affordable energy, defend parental rights in education, and ensure our communities have the resources they need to keep families safe.

What is one issue you think is being overlooked in this race, and how would you address it?

I believe the biggest overlooked issue is the impact of state mandates on rural communities. Too many decisions are being made in Denver by people who don’t understand the unique needs of House District 60. Whether it’s water policy, housing regulations, energy mandates, or education, one-size-fits-all solutions often create more problems than they solve. I will fight for local control and make sure the voices of the people who live and work in our communities are heard before decisions are made that affect their livelihoods and way of life.
