Dave Young, a Democrat, is the current Treasurer of Colorado. Prior to this position, he served as a state representative.

has served as a state representative and as Colorado state treasurer. 

Prior to being elected, Young was a math, science, and education teacher at Heath Junior High in Greeley for twenty-four years. He was also active in the Greeley Education Association for twenty years and served as President of the union for two years.
