Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire on the 10000 block of Flying F Dr. in Fountain early Tuesday morning.

According to the Fountain Fire Chief, the fire started in a car in the garage and it quickly spread to the house and made its way into the attic.

There were multiple explosions due to ammunition inside the home. Due to the explosions, fire crews carried out a defense attack on the fire.

By the time crews got there, the garage was fully engulfed in flames. The Fountain Fire Department reports that the home is a total loss.

There was one person along with three pets inside the home at the time of the fire and they all got out safely.

Authorities tell KRDO that is still early on in the investigation, but right now the fire does not seem suspicious.

Despite the cold temperatures Tuesday morning, there were no issues in fire fighting efforts.

This was the second fire in the last two days in which a home was fully involved. On Monday, fire crews were called to another house fire in Fountain.
