54-year-old conquers COVID-19 after week-long hospital stay in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Some good news Thursday-- a 54-year-old Pueblo resident has fought the coronavirus and won. After a week at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Annette Martinez is homeward bound.

Her exit was accompanied by a joyous send off, hospital workers clapping and cheering as she was wheeled out.

Martinez has now made a full recovery, said Penrose Hospital in a statement sent to KRDO Thursday.
