Colorado Springs police seek potential victims after foster parent arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two minors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is looking for potential additional victims after two male juveniles were reportedly sexually assaulted by their foster parent.

According to CSPD, an investigation into 35-year-old Enrique "Rico" Houghton revealed he had engaged in sexual contact with at least two male juveniles who were under his care.

CSPD says detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit discovered Houghton was a foster parent to numerous other children other the past five years. Officials also say Houghton had worked in positions of trust, with mostly young males in need of supervision across the Pikes Peak region.

Houghton was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 10, for two counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

CSPD says they have reason to believe there might be additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call CSPD at 719-444-7000.
