Milton Proby Parkway eastbound lanes closed east of Hancock Expressway

UPDATE: The road reopened around 3 p.m.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says the eastbound lanes of Milton Proby Parkway are closed east of Hancock Expressway.

Officials say the road will be shut down for an extended period of time due to gravel and dirt in the road. It is only the eastbound lanes.

CSPD says they are on scene with City Streets, and to avoid the area.
