Pueblo SWAT Team arrests man

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Pueblo police SWAT Team arrested a man Monday after he forced his way into a home and refused to leave.

At 12:51 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Freedom Avenue on a report of a domestic fight with weapons. According to police, the victim told officers 33-year-old Leandro Pino forced his way into her house. Once inside, Pino allegedly loaded his handgun and pointed it at the victim.

According to police, the victim was able to leave the home before police arrived. However, Pino refused to leave.

Officers set up a perimeter around the house and attempted to contact Pino, but he wouldn't exit the home. The Pueblo Police Department secured a search warrant and an arrest warrant for the home and Pino.

Eventually, the SWAT Team was called to the scene. After a lengthy negation through a cell phone call, Pino walked out of the house and was taken into custody.

According to police, Pino also caused significant damage to the victim's home.
