COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A Colorado Springs man was arrested for possessing guns while under the influence, but he was caught because he was acting erratically inside a 7-Eleven and tried to give the clerk a gun.

Even the clerk wasn't sure if this was an attempted robbery or if the suspect, Shane Walters, just really enjoyed talking about guns.

According to a police report, Walters went into the 7-Eleven at 1685 Jet Wing Drive and was "acting strangely" and discussing guns. At one point, Walters then tried to give the clerk a gun.

When officers arrived, they found a gun on Walters and another one in his car. He then became "non-compliant" and tried to run from police, according to the report. The officers used a Taser, but it didn't work.

Eventually, Walters was taken into custody and then transported to the hospital. He faces charges of prohibited use of a concealed weapon since he's suspected to be under the influence, police said.
