Three juveniles detained after car pursuit in Colorado Springs

Police officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit with a stolen vehicle late Thursday night, further investigation revealed that three juveniles were inside the car.

The pursuit began when Colorado State Patrol troopers observed a stolen vehicle near Powers Blvd. and Galley Rd. Deputies requested assistance from Colorado Springs police officers. Sand Creek and Stetson Hills division officers assisted in the pursuit.

The suspect car reached 100 miles per hour during the chase. Safety concerns caused the officers to abandon the pursuit.

Officers later found the car abandoned in the 2000 block of Lelaray. Containment was set in the area and a K9 track was initiated. Officers found and detained two females and three male juveniles.
