Investigation underway after Otero Co. man shot, stabbed

An investigation is underway in Pueblo and Otero Counties after officers found a man who was shot and stabbed inside a car.

According to Pueblo Police, officers were called to the 26000 block of Hwy. 96 just before midnight Thursday. It was there that they found the driver and another man trying to get to a hospital in Pueblo. The driver pulled over because he was losing too much blood. It was later determined that not only was the driver shot in the face, he was also stabbed several times.

Both men say the victim was shot in Manzanola. Investigators believe they’ve located a crime scene in Otero County, but at this time it’s unknown where exactly. We also do not have any suspect information at this time.

This is a developing story. We’ll be sure to pass along more information when we get it.
