Weather Alert Day Continues 4-13-18

TONIGHT: Another round of showers will swing into the region this evening and overnight on the back side of this strong low pressure system as it continues to move east. Rain and snow will move into the Palmer Divide and Teller county before moving southward overnight. Additional accumulations will remain possible mainly over grassy areas. Cold temps tonight could make for some slick conditions on roadways around the Palmer Divide later tonight. Lows drop to the teens and 20s as colder air settles.

TOMORROW: Showers wind down early leaving drier conditions to return Saturday. Temps will still be cool with highs in the 40s and 50s. Strong gusts will continue, ending from west to east across the area through the day. Some areas are likely to experience elevated to critical fire danger.

EXTENDED: Quieter conditions arrive Sunday with mostly sunny skies, lighter winds and warmer temps. Highs warm to the 50s and 60s. Temps continue warming next week with periods of strong winds and high fire danger. We will track these ever changing conditions closely.
