Denver Zoo’s newborn orangutan making public debut Friday

The Denver Zoo’s newest Sumatran Orangutan will be making her public debut Friday just a few weeks after being born.

The zoo says Cerah has been thriving under the care of her mother, Nias. Even her half-sister, Hesty, has been affectionate and curious about the newborn.

Cerah was born March 25 and was recently introduced to her family. Starting Friday, you can visit her in the dayroom at the Great Apes exhibit in the Primate Panorama. (PHOTOS)
