Child drowns at Colorado Springs hotel swimming pool

On Saturday evening, Colorado Springs police responded to the Hotel Elegante off of Circle and I-25 to reports of a possible drowning.

According to the police, hotel staff and other people pulled a 9-year-old girl out of the pool and were administering CPR.

She was transported to Memorial Hospital where she died.

The violent crimes personnel unit responded and took over the investigation. The girl’s identity has not been released.
