Vietnam veterans finally get pinned at Pueblo Riverwalk

play. the home of heroes gathered around the veteran community today.. for a memorial day tribute. krdo newschannel 13’s katie spencer is live at the riverwalk, where a ceremony was held to give special recognition to “vietnam” veterans… katie? a group of vietnam veterans were given pins today and the recognition and thanks that many of them never got when they first came home. the junior marines and r-o- t-c presented the veterans with pins and a salute. many of the vietnam veterans say this recognition isn’t just for them but for the people they fought beside that didn’t make it home… “it feels great to celebrate and for all my brothers who are here today, we’re still hurting. a lot of our brothers are hurting.” wreaths were presented at the ceremony in memory of those who were lost. there was also a missing man flyover. many of the speakers at today’s ceremony say it’s an honor to see so many people come out for ceremonies like the one held today. reporting live in pueblo… katie spencer krdo newschannel 13. in colorado
