Springs standoff ends with no arrests

An hours-long standoff ended in Colorado Springs Friday morning.

The incident happened in the 100 block of Grayson Court on the city’s southwest side.

Police say they responded to a domestic violence call Thursday evening when a man, later identified as Jeffrey Aschenbrenner, barricaded himself in the home. According to police, Aschenbrenner is also wanted on two felony warrants.

SWAT entered the home early Friday morning. Police say Aschenbrenner was not inside.

Dispatchers said a woman got out of the home safely. Our crew at the scene said they heard flash bangs being fired Thursday night.
