Police say woman killed in accidental shooting

Police say a 25-year-old woman is dead after a gun accidentally went off in Fountain Friday morning (1/24/14).

The incident happened in the 8500 block of Link Road. It was reported at 10:19 a.m.

Police say the woman was shot in the abdomen and that the shooting appears to have been accidental.

The only other person in the home at the time of the shooting was the woman’s young child.

No names have been released.
