Gay divorces already on Colorado dockets

Colorado’s civil union law for gay and lesbian couples has only been on the books since May and there are already seven divorce cases on court dockets.

The Colorado Judicial Department says cases are pending in Denver, Boulder, El Paso and Jefferson counties.

Supporters of the state’s civil union law tell the Fort Collins Coloradoan divorces are part of any relationship and should be expected.
