Woman hit, killed while crossing street

A woman was killed when a car hit her while she was crossing the street in Colorado Springs Sunday night.

The crash happened near S. Nevada Ave. and I-25 shortly after 8 p.m.

Police say a 29-year-old woman was walking diagonally across S. Nevada Ave. when a car hit her.

Police will likely not ticket the driver because the woman was not in the crosswalk. The driver had the right-of-way.
