IPad helps track down thieves

The victim of a car break-in in Colorado Springs used an iPad application to track down the suspecedt thieves, according to Colorado Springs police.

The victims had left the iPad in their car when someone broke into it and took it along with several other items.

The victims called police Friday night after using an application to track down the iPad, officials said.

The application lead investigators to believe the stolen iPad was in the 100 block of Norwood Avenue.

Officials searched the area and found a car parked in the approximate area where the device last transmitted.

Police said one teenage boy fled the car as police approached. Officers were able to talk to two other teens who were in the car.

Investigators said they found the iPad inside the car along with burglary tools and an illegal shotgun.

Raul Barros, 18, and Vincent Jackson, 19, were arrested, officials said. The two men face several charges of possession of burglary tools and possession of a dangerous weapon.

The third teenager was also found and taken into custody, officials said. His name is not being release because he is a juvenile.
