Boy falls off roof of Trinidad Children’s Museum

A boy fell off the roof of the Children’s Museum in Trinidad on Sunday morning, fracturing his skull, according to the Trinidad Police Department.

Witnesses tell Trinidad Police that a group of juveniles were drinking on the roof of the Children’s Museum around 5 a.m. Sunday. One of the boys slipped while climbing down the fire escape and fell face-first on the concrete.

The injured boy was transported to Mt. San Rafael with a fractured skull, shattered jaw, brain swelling and a fractured leg. He was then flown via Flight for Life to Memorial Hospital.

Officers spoke with four juveniles who admitted being with the injured boy on the roof. The juveniles consented to a voluntary breath sample. Three of them showed a positive result for alcohol and were cited for illegal possession/consumption of alcohol.
