Trump accuses Clinton of playing ‘woman card’

Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are beginning to pivot to the general election.

Trump accused Clinton of playing the “woman card” in his victory speech Tuesday night.

“She’s got nothing else going and frankly if Hillary Clinton were a man I don’t think she’d get 5 percent of the vote,” Trump said

Clinton supporter Cyndy Kulp called Trump’s claim nonsense.

“Most adults don’t make comments like that,” Kulp said. “Most of us learn to stop saying that kind of thing in grade school. I don’t want to dignify comments like that with a response.”

Clinton responded to Trump.

“Well if fighting for women’s health care and paid family leave and equal pay is playing the woman’s card, then deal me in,” Clinton said.

A Trump supporter who’s backed the GOP frontrunner since he announced last June, believes Clinton plays the woman card and wouldn’t have a record to run on if she weren’t married to a former president.

“Any woman in America who’s self made will look at Hillary and say if she wasn’t Bill Clinton’s wife then maybe we can respect her,” Paulina Babinski said. “But, essentially Hillary has ridden on her husband’s coattails. Hillary is a double disappointment. I really want to vote for a woman, but she’s not the one.”

Kulp is ready to defend the woman she’s proud to support.

“I’m happy to talk about Hillary Clinton and her track record for women, children and families,” Kulp said. “Bring it on.”
