More lane closures planned as interchange projects continue at Cimarron, Fillmore

Lane closures are planned for Monday night as two major interchange construction projects continue in Colorado Springs.

The on and off ramps at I-25 and Cimarron will close at 9 p.m. for paving. They will reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday. Single lane closures are also expected on Cimarron between 8th Street and I-25 beginning at 7 p.m.

Just up the highway, both I-25 and Fillmore Street will close because of the ongoing construction project there. Fillmore will close at 8 p.m. and I-25 will close at 9 p.m. The closures are necessary so that part of a bridge can be safely torn down.

I-25 and Fillmore are both scheduled to reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
