CC Surprises North Dakota in Grand Forks

Jeff Collett’s goal midway through the third period was the game-winner as Colorado College edged North Dakota 4-3 on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Colorado College snapped a lengthy winless streak with its first victory since a 5-3 win over North Dakota on Nov. 30. In doing so, the Tigers (9-12-2, 6-8-1) snapped North Dakota’s streak of seven games without a loss (6-0-1).

Eleven different players scored for Colorado College, including Jordan DiGiando, who scored on the Tigers’ first shot on goal.

The Tigers led four different times in the game.

Seventh-ranked North Dakota (12-6-3, 7-3-3) got a goal from Danny Kristo and assist by Corban Knight. Kristo has a goal in six straight games and Knight has a point in 16 straight games.
