Scattered storms and Red Flag Warnings

8-20 red flag

Partly cloudy skies with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. There is a Red Flag Fire Warning for areas along the Continental Divide.

TODAY: Increasing afternoon cloud cover with scattered showers and thunderstorms. One or two isolated severe thunderstorms are also possible late this afternoon. Still hot! Afternoon highs will top out in the mid and upper-90s Thursday afternoon.

TONIGHT: Scattered storms are possible through roughly 9 PM tonight, with gradual clearing during the overnight hours. Overnight lows will drop into the upper-50s and low-60s by sunrise Friday morning.

EXTENDED: The heat continues heading into the weekend but our shower and thunderstorm chances are going down. It's still likely that we'll see a few isolated thunderstorms over the higher terrain over the next couple of day. Highs with weekend will hold in the mid and upper-90s through Sunday.
