Gov. Jared Polis gives update on COVID-19 in Colorado, Oct. 27

DENVER (KRDO) -- Colorado Gov. Jared Polis is giving an update on the state's response to COVID-19 as a growing number of counties approach thresholds to enact stricter guidelines.

The governor's presser comes as Denver Mayor Michael Hancock announced that the capital city would enter Safer at Home: Level 3 status, according to our Denver partners at 9News.

El Paso County and Pueblo County are both seeing an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases that puts their restriction status at risk. El Paso County had an incidence rate of 266.4 cases per 100,000 as of Tuesday, while Pueblo County's incidence rate was reported to be at 337.9.
